Our Services
Sampling
We listen to building occupants, union leaders, facilities managers, and administration to develop a sampling strategy. We provide air quality and surface sampling to identify pollutants in your indoor environment. WEA will sample for mold, bacteria, volatile organic compounds (VOC's), CO2, CO, radon, polychlorinated bisphenols (PCB's), combustible gases, and mg/m3 particulates (including wildfire particles) and more. We conduct asbestos surveillance and review scientific reports. We use thermal imaging, moisture meters and other tools to identify the source of the problem and develop solutions. WEA only uses ACGIH certified laboratories.
Certificate of Sanitation
WEA specializes in providing mold remediation protocol guidance when sanitizing surfaces and cleaning mold from your home, school, or office. WEA will conduct the initial assessment, monitor the work of the remediator and determine if industry protocols have been followed. A post-remediatiation verification is required indicating the space is clean. After the remediation process is completed, a National Organization of Remediators and Mold Inspectors (NORMI) "Certificate of Sanitization" will be issued.
HVAC Assessment
We assess HVAC air flows in schools and offices to determine if they effectivly prohibit the transmission viruses. We measure the supply and exhaust air flows and determine if they are in compliance with the Harvard School of Public Health and ASHRAE guidance relative to SARS-CO-2 (the virus that causes COVID), RSV and other viruses. We make filtration and HVAC system performance recommendations.
Education & Training
WEA provides OSHA training for:
• Mold Remediation guidance for Custodians
• COVID HVAC Safety Guidelines
• Union Skills & Bargaining
• Health and Safety Committee training
• AHERA Awareness Training
• Heat Stress Data Collection
• Workplace Violence
• Organizing Health and Safety Committees
Work Environment Assessments, LLC did an extremely professional and thorough job sampling for mold and gases for the Education Association of Plymouth and Carver. The report and data given to us was precise, clear, and helpful to our members. I would recommend any local or individual to take advantage of this work.

WEA performed a thorough and professional examination of an apartment and school building for the Epiphany School. They identified mold and volatile organic compounds. The lab findings were analyzed and reported in a straightforward and understandable manner. WEA offered expert solutions to the problem that were implemented to resolve the issues. We received excellent service from WEA and would recommend them.

During my two terms as President of the EAW, Mike Sireci from WEA, worked to clean up a variety of hazards in our schools. He assessed for mold contamination in two buildings and PCBs in three schools. WEA focuses on solutions! They have had a professional working relationship with our members, facilities personnel and managers. I'd surely recommend WEA.
- Roger Nugent, past President, Educational Association of Worcester
The report WEA did for my local is great! Thanks WEA for all of the quality work and solutions you recommended.
- Rachel Skerker, Massachusetts Teachers Association H&S Chairperson
Michael Sireci and his group of WEA scientists and legal aids, got our problems on the superintendent and town's docket fairly quickly. Mike's team came in and did an extremely thorough job in detecting safety and health issues in one of our buildings. Under the cautious eye of the administration, Mike was able to soothe their apprehension and through meetings with the superintendent and facilities, spelled out the concerns of his team's findings. I am joyous to say that those that needed to listen, listened, and many of the issues are being dealt with! I was amazed at their knowledge and professional teamwork. I will be using their talents again!
- Keith Weiley, President West Boylston Teachers Association
